Maria's Teens Make The News!

Image by Bekah Stargazing via Flickr Teenagers gravitate in their own little world most of the time, focused on themselves and only those friends in their immediate orbit. Their priorities usually have something to do with (in my alien's case) boys, music, shopping and making plans for the weekend as early as Monday.

So it's pretty amazing that Maria's teenagers have widened the lens on their world view and, like their socially conscious mother who runs marathons for various charities, they started a nonprofit group that collects shoes and sends them to children in South Africa.
